You can meet friends on dating sites like Tinder and Badoo or on social networking sites like Facebook, Instagram, Tweeter, and the like. And if you are religious type, you can make more friends in Church, Mosque or any religious centers.
- Engage in other activities: Engaging in other activities not related to your work can ease off stress. For instance, activities like swimming, jogging, dancing and other exercises can relieve you from stress. And taking some vacation to any tourist destination is another way to manage the stress.
- Reduce your alcohol intake: Some people take alcohol in order to forget the stress they go through. But this is not advisable because consuming too much alcohol can lead to anxiety. Alcohol only makes you feel at ease temporarily. This is why it should not be used to avoid stress.
- Sleep well: Having a lot of bed rest by sleeping for at least 8 hours daily is essential to managing stress. So, endeavor to switch off your phone, off the light, mute your sound system, and do away with any forms of distractions in your bedroom so that you can have a sound sleep.
- Eat well: Eating a balanced diet is necessary to keep your body active. Eat fruits, vegetables, foods with less fat content. And rather than staying hungry because of work, you should eat small meals frequently. This will enable you focus and give you the right energy to work efficiently. Especially important is that you should avoid drinking alcohol and caffeine.
- Set clear boundaries for work: Today, people work both at home and in the office which can lead to more stress. Set boundaries for yourself by not taking work at home. For example, do not do any office work before 8am in the morning and after 8pm in the evening. Doing this will make you feel more relaxed and less tensed.
